What’s the WBWN all about? 

We’re all about connecting, sharing and growing community.  It’s so much easier to do business with people we know, so the network is focused on creating a monthly event where you can get to know other women in business, and they can get to know you.  A famous networking by the name of Robyn Henderson once said, “…it’s not about who you know, but rather, who knows you.”  If you want people to know about your business or organisation, and refer others to you.  Then come along to the WBWN.  

At our events you may find someone sharing a problem or challenge, a success, or wanting to source another woman in business to obtain products or services.  Our guests have created strategic alliances with each other, generated leads, created community, and often, just want to get out and about and have a korero with other like-minded women over kai.  We often find our guests sharing resources and advice with each other, and at the end of the evening, leave with that warm-fuzzy feeling you get when you know you’ve helped someone get or achieve what they want.   Mmmmm –yummy!

Whangarei has a wealth of successful women who own their own businesses, work in partnership, or work for businesses and organisations, so no, you don’t have to be self-employed to attend.  The WBWN is a way for you to connect, share, grow your community, and celebrate success with other like-minded women in business.

The WBWN focuses primarily on Whangarei-based businesswomen as speakers who share their successes, triumphs, challenges, their expertise and knowledge as well as their hints and tips for success, enabling us to learn and grow individually and collectively from their journeys. 

What if I’m shy?  We get asked this all the time.  Your facilitator Barbara is at the door for every event along with our greeter Rose, and we make a point of welcoming you as a first-timer, making sure you have what you need for the evening so you can get the most benefit from your investment.
